The Truth Behind Nursery Rhymes
The other day I was searching the Internet for the second line of the Nursery Rhyme, 'Little Jack Horner when I stumbled across this unique website http://www.rooneydesign.com. I was quite shocked and unaware that Nursery Rhymes originated from true events.
When Jack Horner stuck his thumb in a Christmas pie that he was delivering, he discovered title deeds to twelve manorial estates and stole the deed to the Manor of Mells, a real plum of an estate. To this day the Horner family resides there. Isn't that interesting?
Whether your favorite Nursery Rhyme is 'Ring Around the Rosies, Hickory Dickory Dock, or Hey Diddle Diddle', check out this website http://www.rooneydesign.com/ to learn where the famous lyric originated from.
Pleasantly surpised and educated,
Vicki Durr
